This one is for Petit – enjoy ;) Oh yeah – use this marker.
But, in case anyone else also wants to play with Augmented Reality using Sandy 3D engine, you will need to:
- Check out Sandy latest sources;
- Download Papervision FLARToolKit Starter Kit;
- Check out additional source files to make it work with Sandy.
Voila, you now have Sandy FLARToolKit Starter Kit ready to go!
Update: there‘s simpler code now.

Fabulous!
In no time at all you adapted the FLARToolkit to Sandy.
I’m deeply impressed by your math skills.
Keep it up man!

Wow. Another great example. This stuff definitely motivates me to want to do more things, now I just need to clear my plate so i can actually have some fun with this stuff. Thanks again Mack for the great work and inspiration.
Any luck with getting a dae imported to it?
you can use sandy’s built-in collada parser, but it is very limited.
Hi, I know it’s been a while since you wrote this post but I’m not getting it to work.
I downloaded the starter kit, added the latest sandy source and the additional files.
Could you please put up a zip with all the right sources and stuff as a zip so I can use this as a new basic setup? That would be awesome
Lol, how about you checking sandy SVN log around this post date to find corresponding revision? Now THAT would be awesome :) But seriously, there is better code to start with. Try here or at Wonderfl.
Does FLARCamera3D.as for sandy works in Flash CS4? – I got various errors while compiling in CS4… The same with sandy\FLARCamera3D.as included in FLARToolKit_ver2_5_4 package. Thanks.
It did work in March 2009 (see the screenshot above), not sure about that now. However, most people that can’t get something to work “in CS4″ are actually dealing with stupid configuration errors (such as some path not configured, some check box not checked, etc).
